EAPC World Congress attracts attendees from all over the globe and is regarded as an important annual event in the palliative care calendar. We expect more than 2.000 participants from around the world to join us in Prague. The EAPC congress is a global forum for interdisciplinary education, research and professional interchange. A broad range of professionals attend our congresses, with an average 50% of attendees being physicians. The other half of attendees include nurses, researchers, allied health and social care professionals, academics, educationalists, and volunteers.

The first IPA International Congress took place in Cairo, Egypt in 1982. Since then IPA has grown to offer multiple scientific meetings per year. The annual IPA International Congress features diverse speakers from all disciplines related to geriatric mental health.

It is with great excitement that we invite you to the 22nd EuGMS Congress, which will be held in the dynamic and culturally rich city of Lille, France, from September 16th to 18th, 2026. After the resounding success of our 2025 congress in Reykjavik, which saw over 2,000 participants, we look forward to another exceptional gathering where we will continue to advance the field of geriatric medicine, deepen our collaborations, and celebrate our shared commitment to improving the care of older adults. The theme for the 2026 congress, “Optimizing Function: a Key to Healthy Ageing”, underscores the vital role of functional capacity in ensuring quality of life and independence as we age. In a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, this focus is more important than ever. With an aging population across Europe and beyond, we must work together to identify and implement the most effective strategies for promoting physical, mental, and social well-being in older adults.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (The ASI) is proud to announce that Ireland will host the prestigious 36th Alzheimer Europe Conference from 27-29 October 2026, at the Convention Centre Dublin.
