It is with great excitement that we invite you to the 22nd EuGMS Congress, which will be held in the dynamic and culturally rich city of Lille, France, from September 16th to 18th, 2026. After the resounding success of our 2025 congress in Reykjavik, which saw over 2,000 participants, we look forward to another exceptional gathering where we will continue to advance the field of geriatric medicine, deepen our collaborations, and celebrate our shared commitment to improving the care of older adults. The theme for the 2026 congress, “Optimizing Function: a Key to Healthy Ageing”, underscores the vital role of functional capacity in ensuring quality of life and independence as we age. In a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, this focus is more important than ever. With an aging population across Europe and beyond, we must work together to identify and implement the most effective strategies for promoting physical, mental, and social well-being in older adults.
